The Samsung Dishwasher Error Code OE Indicates to the DRAIN ERROR. It means that dishwasher is not draining water correctly.
The OE error can happen at the start or in the middle of the cycle. You can see the error code in the display panel, and a beep sound can be heard.
The meaning of Samsung Dishwasher Error Code OE is merely referring to the dysfunction of the drain pipe or faulty inlet valve. You may also have to check the Leak Sensor. The problem generally occurs when some blockages occur at the dishwasher’s drain pipe. High pollution and storing a huge amount of food particles can cause the dysfunction of the dishwasher.
The dishwasher shows OE on the digital screen. To search for the solution, we need to know the problems first. If we get the roots of the problems, then it will be easy to solve the questions even if you are not an expert on technology fields. Let us see what the reasons for these problems and the solutions are.
How To Solve Samsung Dishwasher Error Code OE
We need to check many components and find the exact components, which is stopping the flow of water. Let’s see how to check it.
Check End Connection at Sink
All program is designed based on the draining system. The drain pipe is the one that contains millions of junk particles within it. The drain pipe helps to make the machine free from junks. Now the drainpipe is attached with the end pipe, which connects the path to sink. Obvi6the sink plays an important role in removing it. But if any case the pipe is facing clogging problems due to storing food disposal and detergent waste, then the system will show OE. Because it needs to be clogged free to circulate the water properly.
The solution is straightforward. Just remove the dispenser and wash it very carefully. After washing it while you are going attach it make sure the installation is done correctly. The end pipe must have a minimum of 6 inches into the drainpipe to avoid any air entering. The disposal cap which stores the waste material needs to be cleaned. Make sure the CCW is turned on. Clean the discharge tube also. Use filter and grid cover to avoid storing of grease.
Drain Hose
The issue here is, the flowing pressure is hampered due to the positioning of the drain hose pipe. It sometimes depends upon the placements of the pipes also. Because the drain hose pipe is attached to the sink is a turning way, or vertically, due to gravitational force, the pressure will decrease, and it can’t sink. The waste and disposal materials then store at the drainpipe, and the result is OE.
Another reason for the OE error is that there is no air gap to keep the pressure on. Because without air pressure, the particles will never reach their final destination, and the cause will be the blockage. These blockages can generate heat and other harmful damages to the dishwasher.
It is a basic rule of science that fluid has to work much harder to overcome the gravitational pull and to cross the vertically high pipe or spiral pipes. So make it straight and incline. Make the drain pipe clean also. Be careful about the reinstallation of the drain pipe into the machine. There must remain some air gap, and if you are confused about this, see the manual diagram given to the Samsung Dishwasher.
Intake Valve
There are numerous valves present in the machine. Some of those are directly attached to the water supplying system. Now, if one of them is started to dysfunction for reasons like corrosion, out of order, etc. then the water will have flowed through the valves. As there is no obstruction, So the water will store where the valve opens the end. As a result, the storing of junk materials will be placed along with water. OE error code appears.
As the problem occurs, only one solution can solve this. You have to replace the valve. A new suitable valve has to be attached to the machine properly. First, carefully unscrew the nut and bolts to remove the old valve. Then connect it with the new one and make sure there is no leakage and air gap. The valve is attached to the circuit board, which sends the signal of OE. One more thing is there to be cautious about it. Ensure that there is no clogging in the Drain Valve. Clean it properly under the running water. Faulty valve should be replaced with a new one.
Circuit Problems
This can be happened both by filling the tanks with water and removing the water from tanks. Sometimes the water flow increases at the pipe for many reas6like dysfunctions of valves, and then it goes into the chamber. At there, it creates a high impulsive force and damages the circuit, which regulates the signal. Due to the short circuit, it will show OE on the digital screen, And if the water is not filling, then also it appears because the system is doing its job simultaneously. At the moment, if it is not receiving the proper signal, then the circuit sends a false message to the digital screen.
This problem can be solved quickly. Just check the circuit, whether it is damaged or not with the Multimeter. If it is wet, then wrap it with warm clothes and dry them. After cleaning it, join the terminals very carefully and properly as it was before. It will help you to solve the problem. But if any case you are facing that the circuit is not giving the correct resistance, then it would be better to call a technician. They will replace the circuit board with the new one.
So, thus you can solve the blockage problems which mainly occur in the drain pipe.
Apart from the drainpipe, these can happen on other valves also as I mentioned here. But all of the problems will be detected by the Samsung Dishwasher Error Code OE. There is no requirement of wasting lots of money on this. Just apply the basic rules as mentioned above, and if those are okay, then go for the circuit board.
I think I have made the process easier for you. I hope you will get the best possible results from it. We have also given the solution for Error Code OC on our website. Please check it out as well.
